Exhibition of monumental glass sculptures!
Two original artworks - “Caleo” and “Effigie Sui”, of the only monumental glass sculptor in Latvia, Ernest Vitin, shall be complementing the interior of Gallery Park Hotel & Spa and delighting our guests until the September!
Layered glass technique renders a profound, unrepeatable interplay of light and glass. Ernest was nominated for the 2014. and 2016. Art Academy of Latvia annual award for a significant contribution to enriching and strengthening Latvian culture locally and internationally. Furthermore, the artist has created the largest contemporary artwork in Latvia - 22 tonnes heavy architectural glass installation 'In Nature’ (2015), located in the main foyer of the multi-award winning, newly built Academic Centre for Natural Sciences of the University of Latvia.
