WORLD JAZZ FESTIVAL
It's Year Three for the "World Jazz Festival" in Riga, and another lineup of superstars is ready to entertain you. This time out, the Festival will feature three major concerts: under starry skies in the heart of Riga, on Dome Square (July 28), the free-of-charge festival opener, and the festive evening gigs in Arena RIGA (July 28, July 29).

28.07.2016, 3 p.m. Dome Square- Festival opening event; a celebration; free of charge.
28.07.2016, 7 p.m. ,Arena RIGA - The long-awaited appearance in Riga of Italian soul music star Mario Biondi, who has been doing festivals in Europe in recent years. Also on the bill - a rare chance to also hear the Russian virtuoso Oleg Akuratov /piano/. He will surely please fans this time, making up for hisnon-appearance several years back for various reasons.
29.07.2016, 7 p.m.,Arena RIGA - Two living legends of jazz - American pianist Bob James and Africa's-own Hugh Masekela /trumpet/. will man and command the stage.
